MOVED NEW TO THE AREA. RENTED A HOUSE IN BRADENTON JUST TO GET A FEEL FOR THE AREA BEFORE WE BUY A HOME. I A HEARING REALLY BAD THINGS ABOUT MANATEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND HAVE A DAUGHTER IN PRESCHOOL AND ONE IN HIGH SCHOOL. HEARD HORRIBLE STORIES ON LAKEWOOD RANCH HIGH. BRADEN RIVER IS NOT ANY BETTER AND THEY DROPED TO B SCHOOL THIS YEAR. I HAVE HEARD REALLY GOOD THINGS ABOUT SARASOTA COUNTY SCHOOLS. BUT I DONT HAVE THE OPTION OF SCHOOL CHOICE IN THAT AREA. WANT TO GET SOME INPUT IF ANYONE CAN GIVE ME ANY FEED BACK ON THE SCHOOLS AND WHAT PRESCHOOLS HAVE A REALLY GOOD REPUTATION HERE BECAUSE MY LITTLE ONE IS STARTING VPK NEED HELP THANKS

Well, if it were me I'd stick to Sarasota county schools. You might want to check out Riverview High. I'm not really sure about the VPK programs. Here's a link to the VPK in Sarasota county: Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County My little one went to VPK in North Port at Achievements Learning Center and we loved it.

thanks for the help I will check it out. Im confused for the vpk between goddard and kids r kids. Goddard is more child directed learning and kids r kids is more traditional but I feel goddard is more nurturing and kids r kids just make me feel like she is another number in the class room but there school readiness scores are high as opposed to goddard they dont have the scores yet because they are so new.

The Lakewood Ranch school district is rated "A". We have lived here for twelve years now and raised our ten year old daughter here. She went to Kids-R-Kids for one year and it was O.K. and now at Braden River Elementary which we are very happy with. Since then,for pre-schools, there is now a Goddard school, Primrose and Kiddie Acadamy. I have heard they have good reputations, but I have no personal experience with them.

I agree with SoFLGal. Stick to Sarasota County and their school district. They are much better all together.

YES....Stick with Sarasota schools. We lived in Lakewood Ranch and moved just to be in sarasota schools. Our son is 8yr
