Dreaming of Florida---Venice
Getting up early & take my coffee to a stroll on the beach with no crowds.
Maybe meet new friends at a restaurant for more coffee.
Go home for lunch and a rest at my pool. Reading Web suurfing, napping; all on my lanai.
A quick dip when I wake, the get ready fi=or an early bird special... )
A little light TV,maybe some wine,,then off to be.
Then repeat

Remember that we have a summer here too not just a delightful winter.
Don't fall in love before you meet the rest of the family: July, August, September...

i know one thing, im very familiar with nov, dec, jan, feb, march, april, in CT... and i am ok with being inside a few mos but not 6. and its very very expensive to be cold. i know things are different in florida, wayyyy different but to each his own, and i guess you never know till you know. gotta take a risk here and there. we are just starting to get some summer weather here... and its very rainy and dreary... we are all mental!!!
i did hear its been pretty hot there so far... i know i can handle it but, i might have a crabby hubby. lol.
we are def at the end of our rope here in CT.. im ready to give it a try.

My grandmother worked as a cashier at Morrison's in Desoto Square Mall for over 30 years. When they closed down they gave us a few chairs from the cafeteria. I still have them. I have good memories of Morrison's.
You'll be down before you know it

Venice does present a very nice quality of life.
It's pleasant to walk to downtown and have dinner.
We walk our dogs in many of the public parks (pickup required).
The beach is uncrowded, and is a great way to beat the heat during the summer.
Venice is a friendly town and it's a joy to live here.

Which is precisely why I cannot wait to be living in my Venice house all the time rather then just visiting it 4 times a year.
