Yeah...I am happy for you. It is only 66 degrees here too, WI. I too have been busy packing, the truck comes on Thursday, I put the dog and cat in the car and head for Sarasota on Friday. Wee Haa, happy days are hear again. And the timing couldn't be better, it has been one chilly summer if you can even call it summer. Good Luck on the trip down, maybe even see ya around!

That is pretty funny, our distance is 1239 miles from driveway to driveway. Should be interesting with a 2 year, almost 3, and a 5 year old. Both girls. And of coarse our 11 year old Golden Retriever. He is the biggest baby of them all. If we happen to touch any rumble strips on the way down he will freak out. But it should be fun. Thanks for all the well wishes. I'll be in touch before and after we get down there.

Rumble strip driving! I love that! Everytime I touch them, everyone in the car freaks out and gives me a bunch of greef!
Sometimes I wait till they are asleep, then I touch the brakes, honk the horn and scream at the same time. That get's 'em going too! They'll be mad at first, but then they will talk and laugh about it for days!

You should be fine, but probably will be stopping every hour! I remember how I used to drive my parents nuts on long road trips like that. Seems that if everyone stopped for the bathroom, someone didn't, and we'd be at another rest area an hour later. My father used to joke about feeding us bread sandwhiches! Although with a move like this, I'm sure you won't want to rush it, getting there is more important than rushing there and having something happen. Be safe!
I think I will be most likely driving solo. My father says he wants to drive with me, but I almost don't want him to for a number of reasons. I think he'd sleep more than actually drive, so it wouldn't really be that much of a help, especially with his prostate.
