Default Something cool for the younger set

Just saw this article in today's Herald-Tribune about a coffee house coming to Main Street for the under 21 set (and over). Going to have bands on weekends, open late and serve coffee, beer and wine (for the over 21 set). I think this is pretty cool, when I was a teen in Tampa we had lots of clubs like this. Hopefully this will start a trend, I thought I read something recently about something similar opening near Siesta, but couldn't find the article.

Hi GC! They had a soft opening over the weekend...haven't heard anything, but it sounds good!

Was over in Whitfield Estates this past weekend (I used to live Gaines/Westmoreland) with a friend who's house hunting...there's a house over across from the park that looks vacant (spanish style) know anything?

I don't know what's up with that house - last year it started out for sale at almost $500,000, kept dropping, last price was $250,000. don't know if short sale or foreclosure or what. Looks like it needs a lot of maintenance but it's a cool old house with a big yard within sniffing distance of the bay. There used to be a realtor sign on it, but it went down about a month or so ago so maybe it sold? I'll try to see what I can find out.

If you want to hang out with a bunch of rich old people who talk about a)how much money they have and b) how in 1968 they met some movie star you never heard of, this is your town.

Oh and if your black, gay, hispanic, latina or anything other than WASPY white then you'll have additional problems.
Sheesh... did someone kill your puppy?
I realise that this isn't the best location for a 25 year old woman but I expect I'll make do. Tampa is close and thanks to this thread I found a few groups of people that share my interests... Relax dude/ette and find your happy place (obviously not Sarasota)...
