Yup. I don't know if it's from the pollen or the pesticides they spray. Maybe it has nothing to do with moving to FL, but I do sneeze quite a bit when I get settled, I plan on investing in a good home air purifier.

Trying to post a link to the top 10 worst cities for allergies, but it doesn't seem to work. No Florida cities are listed which is surprising. Here I go again...

Worst Cities For Allergies - Forbes.com

Yay! It works.
I think that although there is a lot of plant life that you would think could contribute to allergies, and do for some people. There may be a number of factors that contribute to both sides of the allergy equation.

1. It rains a lot - it knocks down a lot of allergens when it does - its seasonal though.
2. There are a number of different flowering / pollen producing plants (in SWFL anyway - tropical) that people have not built up resistance to, or that come in contact with and it causes problems.
3. There is either a gulf breeze or an ocean breeze and these blow fresh air into the areas where the populations are the greatest.
4. There is not a lot of industrialized pollution that contributes to the problem, where some of the negative illness feelings contribute to pollen / allergy issues that people have.
5. There is an explosion of growth, in the spring in the northern areas, and plant growth is more steady and consistant down here. Although there are definite seasons that certain plant types like.

These are just a few things that come to mind, and they are not sorted as "for" or "against". I just listed them randomly, and I'm too lazy to separate them into the proper piles. It must be cuz I'm in Florida now, and I'm just too laid back!

That is a real pickle! I don't know how you did all that and left me out! How can you fix it now?!?! That is a tough one!! Hmmmm?!? I guess I'm just gonna have to get over it - Darn it!

If she is going to be everywhere with you, then I hope your husband doesnt snore! Because when you get as old as she is, after sight seeing all day and dancing all night, she will need all the rest she can get.

Oh, and don't worry about me - really. I'll be fine! I get forgotten about or turned down/rejected all the time . Darn! Now I'm not sure if its funny, or I'm really sad! I guess I'll have to jump in the pool and think about that!

I was trying to distract you! You are going to have a wonderful time! Relax and have fun thinking about everything except her! Think about me! {insert Laugh Here!} And then buy something expensive! It will make your husband feel better! And you will be really happy!

Of course, I'll still be here wondering why you ever forgot me!

Last November for my 50th, we went on a cruise out of Tampa. Came down a day early, which WAS my birthday, spent the entire day and night at "Castaways" in Tampa with friends from Indian Shores, then got on the ship the next morning! I had a pedi scheduled for departure time, which wasn't my plan but that's all I could fit in, but it WAS pretty cool to be in the salon, way in the back getting my feet massaged and toes painted while watching the shore disappear in the colors of sunset. It was a GREAT way to spend the day after your 50th birthday!!!
