You enjoyed Cat 1 hurricanes and tropical storms as a kid because it meant no school for a few days.
You do not get scared of alligators 20 feet from your canoe
You know what a Florida Panther is (not the hockey team)
You are used to seeing lizards, spiders, snakes, roaches and other large insects and reptiles in your back yard.
You have almost run over a chicken with you car on a busy urban street
You know Florida is the most boring state and longest state to drive through.
You almost never fly any where inside the state.
You know to drive on the turnpike and spend the extra money for saftey reasons to avoid I-95
Severe Thunderstorm warnings dont mean much
Friends from Out of state are amazed at your knowledge of meteorology
You hate two of the three FSU, UF, UM

I am truly amazed to see people walking around in shorts and T-shirts when it's under 70. Tourists! I tell you! Tourists!

You see elementary school kids wearing ski jackets when it's 52 degrees.

Your neighbors are all from NY, NJ, Mass., or Latin America, and nobody talks to one another! LOL! Hey, it's OK to wave back when someone waves at you, it's actually normal! :/

Default Oh these are priceless

even though im only a very very part timer I could relate to alot of that lol.My DH is down there as we speak and he said it rained so hard last night that it was shooting out the downspouts about a foot said he has never seen it rain so hard. glad I wasnt there for that one.
But from what I hear ya'll are in a drought down there so any rain is a good thing.
we were down there at christmas time last year and were doing the polar bear plunge in an 87 degree pool
now thats my idea of good weather,We come back down the 19th for 2 weeks and im hoping the weather is like last year 80-85!!!It was maaaaaavoulus.I havent been into a publix yet even though there is one right down the street,we usually end up at the super Walmart
well here in Ct today it is 67 degrees a little odd for this time of year believe me im not complaining at all
cant wait to get down there

^^^ It was warm today, what was it, like 83 today? Way too warm. I lived in Asheville NC and now that I have been living back in FL I really miss the cold weather at Christmas - rather than wearing tee shirt and flip flops like I did today, (and every other day),the 3rd of December.

We got our first major snowfall in 'sconsin today.
We've also had a mild winter so far. I heard there was an El Nino this year, so that must be why. Our daughter in NYC also had weather in the 60's today. We had the big huge snowflakes off and on this evening, but it didn't amount to much thank god. Just enough to make the idiots who have forgotten how to drive since last year run into each other. We MIGHT have had an inch but I won't be surprised if it's gone in the morning. It's not that cold.
I heard we had a dusting the night before Thanksgiving, but I missed it, we were in Florida!!!

^^^Wisconsin would be too cold for me as a FL native. I'd rather be in NC or TN getting the best of both worlds rather than going from one extreme to another. But that's me!
