We're getting ready to redesign our kitchen - counters, cabinets, appliances, the whole nine yards. With that, we're hoping to find a well qualified and skilled business to handle the work. Does anyone have any recommendations for (or against) a kitchen design company?

I would suggest that anyone wanting to do a major remodeling, especially a kitchen, first go to a book store and purchase a kitchen remodeling book or two. This way you'll know what they are talking about, won't pay for stuff you don't need and will also be able to form your own ideas as to what YOU want and not what a designer working on a commission thinks you should have. Then go to home depot to see what is available in the style you want and your price range. If you bring measurements, they will use their CAD and give a cabinet layout [and don't forget a draw bank]

Not sure of the scale of the project, or how much money you are looking to spend, but since you asked for a Kitchen Design Company, I suggest Village Woodworking (off Clark Rd in the industrial park) They have a large showroom and certified NKBA designers and architects.
