I have investigated a little, and from my understanding I have only two choices Bright House, or Verizon.
I want to bundle my services, but not sure who to go with> |

I have bright house which seems to work fine (cable and internet that is), i use my cell as my main phone...i have had verizon dsl before its work pretty good and i know they are starting to put in fiber optics which would be great...not sure if it has made it to this area or not...verizon phone line works when the power goes out, however, if you get bright house phone, it doesnt work when the cable goes down...at least not yet...i think they are working on a 911 connection at least but not sure if they have that up and going or not...

Lived in W. Bradenton since 1997- have had Time Warner/Bright House since 1997- no problems at all with Bright House. I'm not sure if you can get Comcast up here in Bradenton, you can check out Verizon for FiOs, and I think Bright House and Comcast have their own type of FiOs as well.
Good Luck! |

We hate brighthouse! Phone cuts out, cable juts and goes out often. We also have problems with our DVR. Since direct TV isn't available in ALL areas, I'd go with Verizon

brighthouse--will fix any problems immediately---verizon fiberoptics still are hit or miss--depending on the installer-----are also more expensive

I'll have to go with either Brighthouse or Verizon when I move in August. From looking at their websites, it looks as if Brighthouse is more expensive than Verizon. However, I sat on the phone waiting for a Verizon customer service rep for over 20 minutes before I finally gave up the wait. So I guess one has the pricing and one has the customer service?
The bundle (phone, internet and cable) pricing I was given today by Brighthouse was approx. $30 a month higher than the new Fios bundle with Verizon. Of course, the low price with Verizon also meant signing a 24 month agreement. Does anyone in the Bradenton area currently use the Fios by Verizon? Is it as good as it sounds? Is it reliable - specifically for the high speed internet? |
