I'm going to be spending a month in Sarasota soon. We'll be about a mile north of Downtown. What is parking like in the downtown area (like around Main St., Palm, Ringling)? If we head there for breakfast or dinner, will we have trouble parking? Is it on street, or in parking lots? Need quarters?

Likewise, what about other areas of town that we'd want to visit, like St. Armand's, Siesta Key, etc.?

And is it much worse during President's Week?

Thanks

During January through April, parking is a premium on Palm/Ringling. You can park in the parking garage at Whole Foods.

You will be towed/ticketed if you do not park on the right side of the street or are late on your quarter. St. Armand's marks your tires with a white stripe, not sure about Siesta except if you park in a lot to go to the beach and it's retail, you'll be towed.

We had someone park right in our driveway while we were outside on the porch downtown & leave. Had them towed immediately as they were blocking all of our vehicles in the Burns Court area....
