Yes it was in the paper the other day, possibly locating into Dillard's old spot in the Westfield mall. It would bring foot traffic but probably not be good for some of the stores in there

Costco Wholesale would be a wonderful asset for Sarasota, FL. Especially for a floundering Westfield Mall that now has a vast empty space left by the vacated Dillard's dept. store

I like the direction they've been taking with Sarasota Square (though I'm not a mall person, just the rare hit and run shopping near holidays). Pity that so much of the build-out occurred around the commercial real estate boom to bust years.

My retired FIL worked at Costco as a part time job until he was sidelined with knee operations, but loved working there while he did. Shopping-wise, much prefer Costco to Sam's Club. Do you guys have BJ's Wholesale down there? Same type of store, but I haven't seen any since I left New England.
