It was a great treat to go to downtown Venice for years to watch the St. Patrick's Day parade. I'm disappointed that there isn't one this year and there isn't going to be any in the forseeable future.

So now, where is the closest St. Patrick's Day parade held?

LOL, guess I'm the only one...which would explain why there aren't any St. Patrick's Day parades nearby.

I think there's a St Patty's day parade in Ybor City. Yesterday there was one in Bradenton: St. Patrick's Day Parade - WWSB ABC 7 Florida - Sarasota, Bradenton, Venice, North Port, Siesta Key Breaking News, Weather, Sports and Traffic on the Suncoast |

I don't think the Venice parade has gone on for a few years:

Holmes Beach had a parade this year:

Thanks SoFLGal. I knew you'd know where there was one held. I could have swore I was in downtown Venice last year for the parade, but maybe I'm getting oltimerz.
