No pat needed. The ? was a typo . The 'your' was written in haste as well. BTW, if anyone ever calls you a Grammar Snob ,you just smile and tell them

I love to debate! Now, what are we debating?

Grammar Snob, huh? That's what I get for trying to help someone out. Your (notice the correct usage) point would be better made of you used correct grammar.

Now, on to the debate!

I assume you meant to say 'better made IF you used correct grammar". See what a silly waste of time pettiness can be? I will look elsewhere for debate.

Well, getting back to the oil spill.....I'm just so sad...What a tragedy on so many levels! We will be down there in 10 days. I hope and pray that this can be contained and dealt with as naturally as possible. It's just ridiculous..

Shouldn't that be "if" instead of "of"

LOL. Just wondering, not picking - I have no ground!! I have personally made more mistakes than anyone can correct! I've also spilt more beer than most people can drink.

I just came across good news. Info posted by someone in the know that it could avoid the Gulf Coast of Fl as well as the Keys due to natural current flow . Sorry I don't have a link but I think it was via TBO.com.

Apparently your bit of "good news" from a person "in the know" hasn't reached our local officials. Late this afternoon Sarasota County proclaimed a State of Emergency, so that all response teams would be prepared.

West Coast of Florida could be spared; East Coast could get the brunt of oil spill | Gainesville.com

So the Loop Current is 35 miles from the spill. Wow.
They originally mentioned the keys and the east coast of Florida, before they said anything about the gulf side.
