We're going Sunday-Wed, so I am pretty sure we won't encounter too much of a 'weekend' crowd. I know we plan on doing the "touristy" thing on Tuesday. Monday we're taping the Party with Paula show and my friends and I just plan on hanging at the pool at our hotel that day. I've heard a lot about the River street fun... and all of the candy shops! We already plan on eating at The Lady and Sons and doing the buffet.

I will email my friend a link to this thread so she can see your responses!

I can't believe it's 3 weeks from today that we leave! SO EXCITING!! And this is my VERY first plane ride, too!
Make sure you visit the Savannah Candy Kitchen. They are the one featured with Paula but there are two candy stores on River St so be sure you visit the right one. Sav Candy also has a store in City Market closer to The Lady and Sons. They have a special brittle like peanut brittle but with many different nuts made for Paula in a special tin called Paula's Nutty Brittle with a caracature of her on it. You may even want to visit both stores because the City Market one is pretty neat.

Check out this site for some Savannah Cams. You can see for yourself how "rowdy" River street is.

Unfortunately, this is not an uncommon thing on River Street. I have experienced this several times: cruising teens from the outlying counties in pickup trucks decorated with their flags..........

I definitely want to do a trolley tour.
And to those mentioning the "rowdy" teens... We're going Sun-Wed, so I doubt there's going to be teens out on weeknights... and I'm 29, so I don't mind a little rowdiness. I live in Philadelphia, PA... I am quite used to it by now!

2 days away. So very exciting! Thanks again.
