My husband is PCSing to Ft. Stewart this summer. We are looking to rent in Richmond Hill but are not sure which subdivision is best for us. We are wondering whether to choose Richmond Place or Buckhead. We like the sizes of the homes in Buckhead but unsure of how much time it will add to the commute. We want to have a commute of 15 to 20 minutes to Ft. Stewart.

I can't help you regarding distances, but when we were looking, we thought Buckhead was just beautiful. Unfortunately, we could not find a 3 car garage there within our timeframe. The houses are just old enough to have mature landscaping, and the lots are larger than the newer developments.

Buckhead is about 10 minutes further out "more driving time" than Richmond Place to Ft. Stewart. Also if you think you will only have a 15 to 20 minute commute to the base you are mistaken. Yes the base is only a 15 minute drive, the post is about 45 minutes as the post where the commissary, px, and all the day to day stuff on the base are on the west side of the base which is about 25 miles from I95.
