Default I love Wilmington Island! Now some questions...
Are there any parks on the island? Where are they located? What kinds of things do they have for children and families in terms of recreation? TIA

The Wilmington/Whitmarsh Islands have a fantasic YMCA with just about every sort of activity and sport you could want for all ages. As far as play parks, a number of the little community type parks are around.

There is also a baseball/softball/football complex for team play. And of course, the churches usually have play areas too.

Wilmington Park pier is about the only one I use.
A nice place to take a walk.
A nice place to run my dog.
A nice place to watch the folks fishing/crabbing/shrimping from the pier.
