Whatever happened to the "lifestyle center" that was to go on the other side of I-16 at Savannah Quarters? Was gonna have Target, Kohl's, movie theater, etc and restaurants ...before the recession anyway.

I believe the developer filed for bankruptcy waaay back in the day. It was right as the economy started to sour.

We're getting a Family Dollar in Pooler. I thought we already had one! I am so angry about the hodge podge of downscale businesses on that side of Pooler, I think I'm going to call the mayor and vent a little. All we get over here "under Pooler Parkway" are auto part stores, pawn shops, and one crappy store after another. Now, we've just gotten a second furniture rental store. Nice.

Am I reading the minutes of the Pooler P&Z correctly where it states that the land currently being cleared on Pooler Parkway and Benton Boulevard is a future subdivision?

Also, whatever became of the proposed "second" Pooler Super Wallmart, on that big tract of land cleared next to Lowes? Never made a lick of sense for two Walmarts that close together IMO ... that would be ideal for Target, though I'd still like to see a Target-anchored super "lifestyle" center go in at I-16 and Savannah Quarters as originally proposed. I think that location would be more convenient to the entire metro and a good "gateway" to Savannah coming in from Macon.
