Anyone lived/visited there? How are the facilities and/or construction quality of the homes there? Also, how is Pooler as a town faring post-recession?

I know some folks who live there. The facilities are very nice, the golf course still looks well maintained, and the homes are very nice. There are, however, several homes in short sale, and this must manifest itself in a sort of despiration on the part of the developer/HOA. The last time we drove around, there were several houses for sale, and several houses in which the landscaping looked a bit uncared for.
I have no concrete knowledge, but my gut tells me that it is a very nice development with a few people in deep trouble and most everyone else hoping that their standards will be maintained. If you are looking to buy there, I'd say you will do well to bid low.
Pooler, in general, is one of the only towns around Savannah which has shown steady growth through the housing recession.
