Single and moving to Savannah- what part of town?
I am a single male considering the move to the Savannah area. I would be working near the airport. I have been to the downtown area many times but realize residing down there is probably out of the question.
In a perfect world, I would like to find an area with low crime, small town businesses (coffee house, pubs, eateries, parks), and reasonable housing (town homes, duplexes). Any advice would be grately appreciated.

Working near the airport? you want to look around Pooler first. Then Rincon. Small towns, apartments, condos, etc. Both are rapidly growing communities.

Look at the exits off of I-95
#102 (US 80-downtown Pooler),
#104 Pooler Parkway/ Savannah Airport
#106 Jimmy Deloach Parkway (Highlands, Ga Tech)
#109 Ga 21 Port Wentworth (Rice Hope)
town homes about $90,000
coffee house, pubs, eateries Most in Pooler and Pooler Parkway
Jimmy Deloach is least developed Commercially and the area is in the City limits of Savannah
Rice Hope is very special

Thanks so much for the information! I will start looking into all these areas. I think a trip up there is in store. Thanks again and I'll check back for any more info. jc
