Default What a mess tonite!

Every restaurant was Packed tonite and the traffic near the Park was a nightmare.

I started out for just a beer and taco at Blowing Smoke. Couldn't get near the place. No parking and taking names for the waiting list outside. Headed across Habersham for Five Spot. Public lot full and I can see from outside no seats at the bar. Turned around and headed for Legion. Man,was that a mistake! Concert at the Park and was stuck for 20 minutes trying to get out of it. Went down East Broad and settled for Juarez on Price. Not the best by a long shot but I was hungry.

Savannah rocks!

I was downtown during the afternoon and early evening. From Forsyth Park to the river, you could hardly walk down the sidewalks they were so packed. Events going on all over the place. SCAD Sidewalk Arts Fest. Weddings in every square. The Aquacurean Seafood Festival. The Hidden Gardens of NOG Tour. Some kids festival I knew nothing about.

I was hanging out at a bar owned by some friends when a high-ranking official with the Convention and Visitors Bureau came in with a small group. She said they can't explain it, but this tourist season has been OFF THE CHARTS. And I believe it. The city is simply on fire.

That is so cool. At my sister's in MA yesterday it was 40 degrees and rainy. I bet the winter that will not quit has caused more people to come on down.

Yesterday at noon I needed to cross from West Barnard to the east side of the Park like NB said is was a ZOO. There was "something" going on along Drayton. Like entire length of the park with people three deep.
Also around 10 yesterday a "walk" down Habbersham to the river(?). It must have been a mile long line of people.
