Savannah and Charleston reminds me so much of each other, but in my opinion Savannah is more progressive. Anyways what a diss to Hinesville lol

I guess the challenge now will be to decide whether to rank Hinesville above or below Statesboro.

What defines: restaurant...type of food, number of tables? is Mcdonalds a restaurant?

What kind of entertainment? Pole dancers? Symphony? Opera? Solo guitar plunking?

Pooler and Rincon are growing cities and are within 60 miles. Springfield can be an hours drive depending on time of day.

You're right counterclockwise Pooler and Rincon are growing rapidly. One thing that i have wondered is why is Springfield the County seat of Effingham County when Rincon is bigger and has more growth ? I know another situation like that that is similar, Warner Robins is bigger and thriving way more than Perry but Perry is the County seat of Houston County

Development patterns were different when these towns and counties were founded. You understand our state is over 250 years old, right? I think they tried to place the county seat as close to the center of each county, as possible.

I heard someplace that the distance between county seats was approx. one day's ride by horseback. Or maybe it was from the county line to the county seat.

There are exceptions where the county seat is on a river or on the coast, but for the most part they are centrally located.

But couldnt they change the county seats in this day and age when a certain city outgrow another city in a county?
