Need info (Savannah: cheap apartment, retired, money)

I am a retired deputy from Nevada and I an thinking about comming to Savannah from Miami area, I am traveling around the country working here and there in security field to supplement spending money. I have two questions I need help with:

1) I am looking for a cheap apartment, studio or room in the historic area for short term, what kind of luck will I have and where to look

2) How are the security jobs in the area?

I would greatly appriciate any help in these areas. Thank You.

cheap apartment in the Historic area will be hard to find. You can probably find one within easy walking district of the area, but it will probably ibe in a very run down section of town

Sorry, can't tell you about security positions. My guess is that if you are in good physical shape, you probably will be able to find one quickly.
