Hi! I'm looking to move to Savannah in December.
I'd like to be close to Forsythe Park, somewhere in the historical district.
I'd be renting a 1 bedroom or studio. Any suggestions on what neighborhood to
stay away from or to rent in?
Thank you!

For the district you are interested in....the areas to stay away from are determined on a block by block basis.

Historic or midtown, I'm thinking?
Thank you.

Honestly, there are no guarantees. You can live in the sketchiest area and be perfectly safe or live in the most expensive house in the Historic District and be mugged in front of your home.

In general, stay north of Gwinnett St. or within a block or two of the park, except along Abercorn, which is still pretty crummy.

Re: Ellie's point on rich nabes.

When Willie Sutton was asked why did you rob banks?.....he said Because that's WHERE the money is.
