Maybe no one here wants to wait in line for hours to get inside.

Have you done a Google search for 'Paula Deen'
There are tons of reviews, history, etc.
It's a busy tourist type restaurant. People rave about it, complain about having to wait in line, etc. If you are a fan of hers, it's worth it. If you could care less, there are other great places to eat in Savannah.
Basically is good southern type food that's seasoned well. If you haven't had that home cooking type of food, you'll enjoy it. If that's what you are used to at home, you'll wonder why you didn't go somewhere else. My son tells me that every woman he knows, including his wife, cooks as well.

I've recently posted about our visit to The Lady & Sons. Use the search feature on this page and put in Paula Deen and any and every post that has ANYTHING about her and the restaurant will come up.

We had some friends in from out of town and did the touristy thing and went for Sunday brunch at Paula's. We were pretty disappointed, way too much butter (although we knew of her love of it) we all had tummy aches. The older lady who was with us wondered if the dinner menu might be better, but after standing on the street corner over an hour, we decided not to persue dining there again.

Be ready to stand in line for a long time and eat what any Southern mother or grandma can cook. Good, but touristy.

We were just by there last weekend. We did not eat there, but went to the new PD store next door. The restaurant is a buffet and very casual. I doubt if it is expensive. We saw a sign on the door that they start giving out numbers for lunch and dinner in the morning. We did not see a line, but we were there at about 3pm.
We ate at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House (PD's brother) on the way to Tybee Island. It is super casual (we're talking flip flops and shorts) and the food was good.
