And it asked which would you prefer to open next in Statesboro? It had 5 choices: Red Lobster, Home Depot, Publix, Outback, and Target. Voters Choice: Publix came in 1st place, Target came in 2nd, Red Loster came in 3rd, Home Depot came in 4rth, and Outback came in 5th. I wonder why the herald decided to put up that poll ?(Maybe they have been hearing through the same grapevine that i have been hearing through)

Albania---I have a suggestion for you. Why do you not get more pro-active in things affecting the town you so dearly love. I'm serious. Things like running for a position on your city council . Or, a task force. A planning committee. Don't matter how low on the ladder it's a start.

In addition, instead of presenting poll data here, which is meaningless IMHO, you might want to reach out to those 5 companies and ask if this is a direction they intend to go after.

Being proud of one's community should be backed up with one's efforts to make it even better.

@PinkCaddy: Im too young to run for council, planning commission ect. Their is nothing wrong with putting a poll up on city data. Other people on the Forum have did that, but it seems that only when 'Albania does it, It becomes a problem !

Albania needs to give everyone a break. You're a good kid but you need to play with friends your own age.

At least pace yourself a little. We don't want you to give up, just moderate yourself a bit.

He's not the only one on here posting topics about it. Although I'm not as active as he is on here, I am very proud of my town and hope it continues to grow and get some recognition thoughout Georgia and the Southeast. Seeing Georgia Southern get as much media coverage as UGA and Auburn would be a dream come true, which I why I fully support the move we're making to the FBS! Maybe then I could see Georgia Southern themed stuff when I go to a sports store in another state just like I do with other FBS based teams.
