The Victorian District has been selected by the American Planning Association (APA) in Washington, D.C. as one of the Top Ten Great Neighborhoods in America for 2014! the official press conference will be held Friday, October 3. It will be held at 11:00 AM at the south end of Forsyth Park next to the Spanish American War Memorial.

With Savannah it's the details. Like fish downspouts or those neat metal bus stop signs. Brick sidewalks, and tree lawns that are just a bit different on each block.

Not really about Savannah per se, but the city was selected to be a test site next year for the 2020 census. Here's the reasoning behind the decision from the census bureau.
