"Savannah lacks a trained workforce, a lack of continuity between the City of Savannah and Chatham County, and "chaos in the street" crime-wise, prompting Volvo to seek space elsewhere."- Johannes Gustav, Sweden's Consul to Georgia, commenting on why Volvo went to SC.

OUCH, that smarts. I can't really argue with it, though.

Sigh. Exactly... Companies that large do not care about silly little incentives. They care about quality of workforce and the safety and responsible management of the city it will locate in. Both of which are pathetic here. This is the most beautiful city I have lived in. And also by far the worst-managed. Even cities run by the mob and unions up north run more efficiently and are safer. Someone should show that statement to the mayor. Honestly I am kind of embarrassed by it, living here and all. We all need to do more for our community. We are all a part of it. And we should make an effort to vote this next council election!

So, does that mean you are running?

Lord I hope someone smarter than me and better at getting stuff done runs. But me, compared to outright criminals like Mary Osborne who voted for the city to pay her a a$60,000 settlement for her house "flooding"? Or Edna giving all her friends and family multimillion dollar contracts? Or the racist Shabazzs attempting to incite Baltimore style riots? Gee maybe I should. Probably anyone here would do better!
