Something tells me that Gwyneth Paltrow has never set foot in a Target in her life.
I am putting that Ulla Johnson pullover on my Christmas list, however.

Savannah is somewhat reminiscent of Adelaide.

Not even close, Icono -- not even "sometimes, on a moonlit night." The two are very different architecturally, demographically, and even their tree cover. They do both have vibrant downtowns (many U.S. cities don't, and Savannah does), but that's it. Also, lethal corn-snake moms (with eggs) will take up residence under your fridge in Adelaide.

Both are coastal cities.
Both were founded as planned communities and capitals for their respective provinces. Colonel William Light was their 'James Oglethorpe'.
Both had square pocket parks incorporated into their grid plan.
Both have been referred to as the City of Churches, a nod to their beautiful architectural style.
Both are growing tourist destinations for larger cities in their respective countries, particularly over the last 25 years.

Today, Adelaide is noted for its many festivals and sporting events, its food and wine, its long beachfronts, and its large defence and manufacturing sectors. It ranks highly in terms of quality of life, being consistently listed in the world's top 10 most liveable cities, out of 140 cities worldwide by The Economist Intelligence Unit.[14][15][16][17][18] It was also ranked the most liveable city in Australia by the Property Council of Australia in 2011,[19] 2012[20] and 2013.[21]

Sound familiar?

You're way out in space with this comparison. Washington and Philadelphia and St. Petersburg (Russia) are planned cities. Charleston and Macon and virtually every southern U.S. city is a city of churches. With Adelaide and Savannah, too much is different -- the architecture, the parks, the vegetation, the economy, the metro size. Adelaide is a large city, Savannah is small. And quality of life/livability alone make further comparison ridiculous. There, Adelaide is more like a European city, not a southern city like Savannah with high crime, inequality, a rather poorly educated population, etc., etc. Totally different kettle of fish. I'd compare Adelaide to Cape Town perhaps -- never to Savannah. We can disagree about Christmas trees, but this is wishful thinking on your part. Let's be boosters of Savannah, but keep Savannah's limitations in perspective.

Yeah, it makes much more sense to say Adelaide has absolutely nothing in common with Savannah because poisonous snakes live under refrigerators there.

According to DatingAdvice.com, Savannah ranks third for North America’s 10 Most Romantic Cities, behind No. 1 Nashville, Tenn., and second-place Quebec City, Quebec.

To determine the rankings, DatingAdvice.com evaluated the local sights, area attractions, accommodations, restaurants, bars, wineries, public parks and tourism stats, in addition to social media comments and reviews on platforms like TripAdvisor and Yelp. Savannah particularly stood out for its vast dining options, Southern hospitality, and historic culture, according to the site.

The site mentions charming local spots such as the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, Rocks on the Roof, and Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, and of course, low-key date activities like a picnic in Forsyth Park.
