I didn't read the date till later.

It was more for amusement's sake than anything. Savannah's really not that hip, unless it's with top-ten list makers.

Well, we do have our share of hipsters, I guess. But, thankfully, I don't believe it's to epidemic proportions.

I ran this through "Translate to English" as English is not my first language. No luck. Came back to me in Chinese.
Particularly troubled by "iare what Savannah is really known for to anyone who does 5 minutes of research".
Please expand as I am currently writing a term paper on Savannah and this might be my ticket to Nirvana.

You must have had an unpleasant experience in our fair city.

I did about five minutes on you, too. So you're from Cali, have retired from nursing, and live on Hilton Head Island in a gated community called Hilton Head Plantation?

Well duh. If you live in a large, wealthy, artificial, racially and economically sanitized controlled environment where the help has to be bused in... Lord help us all!

You really don't get it do you?

The United States is becoming a terrible place for air travel - The Washington Post

... there is no such thing as a “cheap” city. (Denver comes closest.) Over the last year, according to the government data, only one large-ish U.S. city — Savannah, Ga. — saw fares discounted on par with the Bangkoks and Milans.

That was enough for Savannah to land on Kayak.com’s recently released Top Ten list of “great deal” destinations, the only U.S. city to make the cut. But Savannah is no great deal; it’s a bad deal, slightly cheaper than it used to be. The average airfare is $445, making it the 17th-priciest in the country. One year ago, it was the fourth-priciest.

Too funny. If I knew when gym towel night was, I'd be there to see it.
