Forsyth Park area - - safe place to stay for weekend?
We are looking for a friends get-together in Savannah and are considering renting a house a few blocks east of Forsyth Park for the weekend. Although the house looks very nice, we know nothing about the area. Would this be a safe area to stay? The neighborhood has been described as the "Victorian District".

Yes, I would like to know the answer to this post as well. I am a single mom who wants to take my three kids for a week-long trip. I found a place next to Forsyth Park that looks fun. But, is it safe? Are there better places to stay? I want to visit historic places, parks, and maybe some day trips to the beach.
