Paula Deen addressing an audience at The NYC Wine and Food Festival last Sunday upon seeing one of her dishes was going awry.

She certainly has a way with words. Wonder what those ladies who might be a touch overweight would think of that statement? lol

Note:
As reported in the WSJ.

This is news because?
If one likes Paula Deen one already knows that she is talking about herself more than anyone else and those that have watched her even a few times when she had her own show already know this and generally are not offended.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. As far as, "This is News because"...she is a celebrity in Savannah and this is the Savannah forum. Additionally, she is trying for a comeback after her last "difficulties" with public statements. She also promotes a diet that many people suggest is not very flattering to the waistline nor healthy for the heart.

Aside from that. . .Do I like her?

I love Paula. We are taking eager visitors on a Paula Deen tour and dinner at the restaurant this month. It is a discounted tour, so perhaps the interest is lagging? I don't know, but I don't really care.

GA.... There are many museums in NYC but I have always used the example of two museums when I like to express my opinion on "differing opinions. " There is the MOMA for the abstract and the MET for old world masters. There is room for these quite different museums to exist just 30-40 blocks away from each other to satisfy millions of visitors each year that come to NYC.

Of course, there are a host of differing opinions regarding Paula Deen. That will be around a long long time and I wish her the best. Seriously!

Enjoy!

I'm sure 99% of us say much worse behind closed doors. If you don't, you're a saint.

You bet I do, which is why the Paula "witch hunt" was such a farce.
