Landmark Historic District is relatively safe until after about 10PM. Then it is best to be inside or with a group if you are out. This area is patrolled by police very heavily because of the tourist.
Ardsley Park is a nice historic area 5 minutes from downtown. This is mostly a family area of homes but there are some apartments. There are a few 1 and 2 bedroom carriage houses for rent in this area. Ardsley is safe.
