sean&diane is on a distinguished road
Default Coastal GA

My family is looking to make a move down south where we will be near the coast. We live in Ct now, but used to live in VA and miss the southern culture.

We have school aged children, so quality schools are a top priority. We are an outdoorsy family and are looking for a place where we can enjoy beach, fishing, boating, etc. Looking for a place with lots of kids and sense of community, not a vacation or retirement area.

I am fortunate enough to have a high paying job that I can do out of my house, so the job market doesn't matter.

What areas should we look at?

Thanks

Isle of Hope, GA. 20 minutes from downtown Savannah. Very charming historic area with alot of charm. Research it and I think you will see what I am talking about.

Also more of a planned community is The Landings in Savannah. About 30 minutes south of downtown. 10,000 residents, Over 1500 kids 18 and under in this community. 6 golf couses, nature trails, marina, etc. etc. A lot of outdoors.

The beach in the Savannah area is about 20 minutes east of downtown and the areas I mentioned. It is called Tybee Island and is not really a place to settle down as a family but a great place to go for a day at the beach with the family. My wife and I take the little ones out there all the time in the summer. Very family friendly. Good Luck.
