oh I agree, if the majority of Pooler residents don't want it, they shouldn't have to fund it. I am just wondering why you do not want it. You say you have no traffic. Yet. In the future, perhaps near future, mass transit may be of more interest to the people of Pooler. Plus, traffic only matters really at rush hour. Abercorn is fine most of the day, too. Rush hour commuters served by mass transit help alleviate traffic. I hear say Pooler is bad at rush though I haven't been there at that time in a while. Didn't seem too bad the year before last when we lived there in Godley. But hey, the whole thing is null and void though! We are supposed to HAVE hoverboards already!!!! Remember? It's 2015.

I have nothing at all against mass transit. If someday the system is extensive enough to be convenient, reliable and cost effective, then I'll be for it. In Chatham County, however, this will never happen in my lifetime. I've heard the existing busses run empty most of the time and the bus system is always losing money. Until there is a vital, cost effective system, I don't feel like throwing money down a black hole.

oh, they do. They do. I ride all the time. It's sad. They either need smaller buses or to increase ridership. A mixture of both would probably be best. Perhaps some way to get employers in on annual passes. And you're right, much of this is probably a money grab by the greedy and incompetent CAT manager who gets paid $250,000 a year for ????!!. And running the agency at a deficit. http://savannahnow.com/news/2013-05-...y-compensation First step: cut his pay in half. I think he could make do on $125,000.
