Hey. We are coming down for St. Patrick's Day and we were looking for a sightseeing tour of the city. Which one do you recommend? No ghost tours but city sightseeing tours only

A lot of the trolley tours will allow you to get off your trolley, walk around, and get on the next one that passes. Or if you have lots of questions, take a walking tour. One of my friends just started working for Noble Jones walking tours, so I'll reccommend that one.

FYI there are no tours on St. Patrick's Day ... they are limited on the day before but resume in full on the day after. The best trolley tours are Old Savannah and Old Town. The best walking tours are Savannah Dan and Architecture Tours of Savannah. There are many, many others.

So we plan on visiting Tybee Island after we tour the city. Since we will not have a car what is the best way to get to the beach?

You can't get there without a car, unless something has changed. As far as I know, there are no buses or shuttles.

Do you need to return on the same bus that takes you there? IOW is it just a ride out there but not a day at the beach?

We will return on the same bus. I called them yesterday. It will drop us off at the beach. Hopefully the weather will be decent
