Hello to all,

Trying to plan a 1 year anny.for my wife and I. I'm wanting somewhere old/historic, with some romantic charm, and also some "creepy" vibes. Savannah has been mentioned to me multiple times. so here I am. That being said, the only budget I have is for a hotel, vacation rental,etc... For 5 nights, I'd like to stay at $1500 or less.

Any suggestions on what to do, where to stay, eat, etc... is appreciated! Trip will be in early-mid September of 2016!

So far as hotels go, I'm interested in The Marshall House and Mansion on Forsyth Park. Both are similar in price, and both have great reviews and look great

I was gonna recommend the Marshall House. But if you can afford the Mansion on Forsyth Park, GO FOR IT! It's quirky and historic and haunted and romantic and has an EXCELLENT concierge that can plan more than enough activities to keep you busy for 5 days.

Still haven't fully decided on a place yet. There are a lot of nice "vacation" rentals on VRBO that I'm looking at as well.

Any good places to eat that are recommended, specifically more "intimate and romantic"

The Pink House and Elizabeth's are some good upscale restaurants, but there are 100 more. If it is a warm day, I love to have lunch on the roof at The Public on Bull St.

Some other romantic restaurants would be Chive on Broughton Street, Garibaldi's, Allure and Sapphire Grill on Congress Street in the City Market area. Also, The Grey on MLK has been named one of the Top 5 new restaurants in America and is amazing inside and out.

Downstairs at Garibaldi's was our favorite intimate restaurant.
