Getting in and out of Savannah is hard due to extreme bottle-necking on the 2 roads coming in and out.Along with the thousands of tourist on those roads make a bad situation. In the deep south it is hot and humid from May-November, with many mosquitoes and bugs.
Dry air is better any way you cut it.
I would look to a place with road access from all directions and No bridges.
