Default Visiting Savannah Soon!

Me and my sister will be taking some vacation time to drive from Boston to Savannah the week of March 10th and I'm hoping some of the locals on this board can suggest some places that we really shouldn't miss while we're there. We really want to make the most of our time while we're there and hopefully get a glimpse of "true" Savannah.

She's 28 and I'm 32 and we're very outgoing. Any suggestions for daytime/nighttime activities or destinations?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Can't wait for March!

You have to take a carriage tour for sure. Take a Ghost tour, I like the walking ones myself, but they have tour bus ones and I believe carriage ones as well. Ya have to do River street and please have a Wet Willies drink for me, and city market. Eat at Lady & Son's...I could go on and on. Just be very careful as crime is horrible in Sav.

Go out towards Tybee island and visit Fort Pulaski as well.

Have fun!

A walking tour might be the best way to see the historic district.

I would drive out to the south side. Lots of Spanish moss hanging from the trees --very charming. A few places I enjoyed:

Isle of Hope
Wormsloe Plantation/colonial estate
Bethesda Children's Home
Skidaway Marine Research Center
