Besides, we have this already...over on the mainland where it belongs.

I used to go on Emeald Princess once a month. Not a fan of getting back to savannah around 3am.

I would welcome for sure a casino close to Savannah even if it's not downtown.

It's going to be in Pooler ... at 95 and 16 ... where the mega site is. With a new exit at Pine Barren Road. You can bet on it.

Perfect place for it. Stick the casinos out by the interstates like Alabama does. The truckers will love it.

Oh boy. My dad is going to go nuts. He lived with my brother on Quacco next to Savannah Quarters. This is going to be a dream for him.

Not only that ... but the STATE already owns all that land and has been trying to unload it for years. Easy access to downtown Savannah via 16, Hilton Head and Bluffton via 95. And the airport is RIGHT THERE! This is a no brainer if you ask me!

And it will have a limited impact on current residential areas. The area is rather isolated and is easier to control access.

The more "isolated" the better. Casino gambling is toxic and should be advoided like the Zika mosquito.

I agree that Savannah has (more than) an edge, but on the Columbus Forum ("South Columbus casinos"), they say that the county population rule was just lowered, from 250,000 to 200,000, making Columbus and Augusta eligible.

I'll be optimistic and hope so. There are so many family-oriented areas nearby.

Yes, it's highly addictive. The anticipation, the rush, the possible reward. This is going to have a negative affect on some local folks, no doubt about it.
