What plantations? Sherman burned all of them or they have been built over with the suburbs. Our plantings that are on display for the visitors in in the Historic District Parks and Squares.

But really, most homes around the area have displays of azaleas. You'll see plenty. The early blooming varieties are beginning to put on their show now. The middle season ones will start soon and then the late bloomers. The whole thing is over with by the third or fourth week in April. Around the first of April would be a good time to get a good show.

Charleston's blooms usually run about a week later than ours. There are still a couple of plantations still in that area.
