I can't wait to see the SRL development finally get underway now.

One of the next big milestones will be to open the left turn lane onto Truman Parkway. Information regarding the other aspects of the President Street project will available in the near future, said city spokesperson Michelle Gavin.

The $28 million road project also provided accessways to the Savannah River Landing site north of President. After the road improvements began, a new developer announced plans in March last year to build residential, retail, hospitality and office space on the 55-acre Savannah River Landing site. The 2008 recession brought a previous developer’s plans to develop the property to a halt.

Same. Driven on it westbound. Eastbound is still closed

Two new (unnecessary) traffic lights to go with it. What is with Savannah and their love affair with traffic lights?? It's quite annoying!

Those 2 lights are for future development on the Northside (Savannah River Landing) and Southside of President Street (Presidential Square?). On the development is finished they will definitely need those traffic lights. Hopefully they will build a railroad overpass and a Southbound on ramp to Truman Parkway instead of having to turn left to get on to Truman. Also they are rebuilding Hitch Village (as The View of Oglethorpe Apartments) The View of Oglethorpe Apartments | Apartments in Savannah, GA. So they will be more traffic in the area.

The traffic lights on General McIntosh Blvd and on President Street between General McIntosh Blvd & Truman Parkway will be the entrances for Savannah River Landing. The traffic light between General McIntosh Blvd & Truman Parkway will also be the entrance for the development on the Southside of President Street near the old Hitch Village. Here is a picture of how it might look. These are old pictures

Not the lights I'm talking about!

There are two traffic lights actually ON General McIntosh. Both of them are in front of the Marriott hotel. The ones on President Street, particularly the one at Gen. McIntosh and President, are needed.
