Those 2 lights are for future development on the Northside (Savannah River Landing) and Southside of President Street (Presidential Square?). On the development is finished they will definitely need those traffic lights. Hopefully they will build a railroad overpass and a Southbound on ramp to Truman Parkway instead of having to turn left to get on to Truman. Also they are rebuilding Hitch Village (as The View of Oglethorpe Apartments)

There are two traffic lights actually ON General McIntosh. Both of them are in front of the Marriott hotel. The ones on President Street, particularly the one at Gen. McIntosh and President, are needed.
