Default Bloomingdale and Pooler

My wife and I are thinking of moving to the Savannah area. We live in a small town called Glennville now and it doesnt offer very many jobs. My boss has informed me that he is in the process of selling the buisness and wants to give everyone a heads up so they can look for another job. Unfortunately I have not been so lucky and am unable to find a job where I live. My wife is pregnant and due in June but our savings will not last long. Does anyone know of any affordable places to rent?

A lot will depend on what kind of work you do. Jobs are not plentiful in all areas. Pooler and Bloomingdale are more or less bedroom communities for Savannah.

If your work is specialized in some manner, you may find a position. If it is sort of a general thing, then you will be in competition with locals that have been here and have estabished references, etc.

Good luck on whatever you decide to do. Is there a possibility that whoever buys the business would keep you on? They would need a staff. I would think that they would prefer someone who is already familiar with the business, rather than have someone brand new.

I would definitely see if the new owner would keep you on, if not start looking for jobs in this area. More than likely, you will be working in Savannah. I also just read in the Savannah Morning News there is a new loan program that is offering low-interest loans in Pooler and Bloomingdale. As far as renting, there are a couple but their names are escaping me right now. I hate when that happens.
Good Luck and Congratulations on the baby!
