We are not really worried about the traffic as she can schedule her classes as she chooses which means no morning or late afternoon rush hour. For me I work out of the house.
What I was curious about was the surrounding area, diversity, eating, supermarkets, and the golf course. One of the big reasons I want to live there is so I can golf and take clients out to golf. How is the course? Also I noticed there is a yearly membership but you still have to pay for the cart. Can I just use my on cart if I live on the course? Another ? about the charter schools my understanding is my daughter would be at the top of the list if somebody drops out? What are her chances of getting in then? tx for the replies. |

the Gordonston neighborhood is not close to Armstrong. It is a small, but nice neighborhood that sits surrounded by deteriorating communities. You can do better. Many love the place, but it's lack of good adjacent neighborhoods is a serious drawback.
I will also disagree with the previous poster as to the amount of crime on the Southside. Savannah covers over 70 sq. miles and most of it is considered Southside. The Midtown areas have problems as does the Historic District. There are areas on the Southside that will fit any kind of pocketbook, and any kind of life style. The Islands area are also quite good. I think you will be able to easily find a place that suits. Come and visit, spend some time looking around before you settle. |

Bellhead.... The La Vita golf course is in an area that is closest to Armstrong. There are some nice homes in that area (and some not-so-nice) It's possible that you could find one that you could access by cart. I am not familiar with the course, so I don't know how well it's kept.

Our price range is from $300 to $400 thousand. Wouldn´t like a payment of more than $2800 a month. Am I missing anymore neighborhoods?

The Enclave is a newly developed subdivision. I think, but not sure, that it is still mostly under construction. With the housing market the way it is, it's hard to say if it's going to be a viable area or not. Have you visited their website? The homes look good. The plans seem wonderful if you want a gated community.
