Hello again.

Quick question: Are most people wearing masks these days? I'll be coming down this month.
Thanks in advance.

Yes. It’s required in the City and County.

Thank you! I just found out that in parts of Florida, it is not enforced so I thought I should check.

If you feel that you have to ask this question, you're not ready for travel.

As in when one is outside? If that is the case, that is pretty nutty. Just my opinion.

When we were last there for a week in December I actually did a poll (in my head) when walking around Forsyth Park. Just over 50% of people were wearing masks outside in the semi-crowded park. In shops everyone was. In restaurants people were not. But there is plenty of outdoor dining if you know where to look.

It is required, but largely ignored and not enforced.

Businesses are doing a great job requiring masks inside - think shopping more than dining obviously. Walking around outside you’ll see far more people without masks.

You should have one - there are a few really neat places that are a bit more dramatic about it and you don’t want to miss out on a cool opportunity over something as stupid as a mask - Vinnie Van Go-Go’s comes to mind. I’ll wear a mask for a pizza lol.

A relative was at a hotel last month. Getting on an elevator, someone (or maybe multiple) were not wearing masks, he mentioned it, and they told him to "f off."

Sigh.

I live outside Savannah proper, and we don’t see many people wearing masks outside, but all businesses ask that you wear one to enter.

I’m vaccinated and I don’t care, one way or the other, but I’m willing to go along with the mask thing to avoid a hassle.

We just got back. Most places required to enter. Not enforcing it definitely is based on management.
Thanks to those of you who answered politely. It was appreciated.
