Thank You Savannah!
I recently vacationed in Savannah, stayed at the Old Harbour Inn. I have always wanted to see savannah (historic area) I had a wonderful time. You really can tell the tourists from the townspeople, everyone was so pleasant and friendly. I am disabled and saw the area riding my mobility scooter and the squares kind of concerned me with crossing the streets. I was amazed how thoughtful drivers were letting me cross and had a smile for me while I was crossing. I thank you all. You have a magical beautiful city and you should be proud to live there. I was sitting at Starbucks outside just people watching during lunchtime and as busy that people were, many had a hello as they passed. I really felt welcomed and had a wonderful time and will be back for another visit. You all really put Florida to shame!!! Thank you all....Bill

There has been some press about the city not being wheelchair/scooter friendly. It sounds like you got around just fine. I'm glad you had a good time.
Did you get to try an Oglethorpe at Clary's?

There were some areas that I got hung up on the sidewalks and there were very few spots that I had to ride in the street and of course the riverwalk area with the cobblestones presented a challange but I made it! About that oglethorpe, I did not have and now I some how feel that I missed out on something really good!! what is it?

2 huge pancakes, bacon or sausage, toast or biscuit, 3 eggs how you like them, grits or potatoes and top it off with their delicious coffee.
Glad you had a good time. Savannah is a wonderful place to visit.
