not sure if you are still looking for info on Savannah, but we have lived here for about a year. We are not impressed with the area. We moved from Yorktown VA and miss the faster pace of that area and much more to do. Seems like people around here just spend all day at the pool. It is ok, you just have to find out what is important to you in life. The crime is an issue in downtown, the other day there was an armed robbery in one of the squares, you really have to be careful around the city, I have seen more bums there than anywhere I have ever lived. People are very nice, and the food is good. Jobs are very hard to come by from what I have found. Traffic is good, not an issue to get around, but lots of trucks, people love trucks around here. All in all it is not a bad place to live, but there are a lot of places with a lot more to do for around the same housing costs. You have to be real careful about the schools as well. It really varies from town to town. thanks
