Default Smitten with Savannah

My husband and I are moving to Savannah and need some advice on the neighborhood that would be a good fit for us. We have a 2 month old baby, so are looking for a friendly neighborhood that will be great for raising a family.

Things that we love about our current neighborhood in Atlanta (Grant Park) are ... walking our dogs in the park, having neighbors over for drinks on the porch, older, unique houses and attending neighborhood events (movies in the park, music events, picnics, etc).

We are in our mid 30's, so we need to find a house suitable for kids, but also affordable - we value character over square footage

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

Melissa

I agree...if you want an Atlanta frame of reference, think Morningside or Garden Hills.

Ardsley Park, definitely.

Beautiful homes, lots of character, most built in the 20's, 30's, and 40's. My husband and I are the same....we live in a small house b/c we love the character, location, neighborhood. We could easily have a house 2-3 times larger, but we'd lose out everything we love. Our neighbor has happy hour on her porch at least once a week

We walk our dogs all the time around. Any other questions, feel free to ask!
