Daniel, I think you have made a very wise decision.

And Art-Boy14.. you need to call SCAD and find out directly from them. Some classes will transfer from certain schools, but you may not be going to go to one that they will accept.

Post relocating to STSI

Hi,
I am a singer songwriter/musician desiring to relocate to St. Simmons

Looking to do this late summer... 2009

The perfect world would be to slide right in and start playing music on the scene. but we know it's not.

Can someone recommend areas that won't be too expensive. I'd really like to find a guest house, and be as close to downtown as possible.

I have references and they will more than lightly beg me not to move.

It has been more than 20 years since I have been there.
a little feed back and if anyone knows of an up in coming place. please email me.
lewislaine@windstream.net.
check out my website too.
Conni Laine - Entertainer, Singer, Songwriter
thanks ~

Graduate Transfer Credits

A maximum of 20 quarter hours of graduate academic credit toward a 90-quarter-hour graduate degree may be given for courses appropriate to the college curriculum. Only graduate courses with grades of at least a 3.0 (B) taken at institutions with a level of graduate instruction comparable to that of the Savannah College of Art and Design may be transferred. Prior to first quarter of enrollment, the student must submit to the admission office official transcripts, course descriptions, a portfolio or, in the case of a lecture class, projects and papers and a written request for transfer credit review for the course(s) the student wishes to transfer. Materials are reviewed to determine if the work is comparable to that which would earn at least a 3.0 in a SCAD graduate level class. Transfer credit appears on the transcript as such and is not calculated in the student's grade point average.

Now I have a question before I ask them at SCAD when I see them next week. Are all there classes morning classes? Are there night classes. I plan on starting in this field in Sept. I have a 40 to 45 hour job (Produce Manager). All morning hours until 4pm at the latest. I make good money but I'm not going to do this forever.

I just had somebody else answer that question 15 mins ago. I'm expecting alot of homework and long nights. People at work might think I'm drunk when I come walking in in the morning.
