pembroke or richmond hill?
I've been renting on the outskirts of richmond hill since taking a temp job at Ft Stewart and am now considering a perm position there. I would like to here opinons esp about pembroke as a place to relocate the family from north of atlanta. How is the middle and high school, as these are the grades we would attend. If affordable, I would love to live on small acreage(7-10) that is private, wooded and big enough to hunt on. I'm a working stiff so just want a reasonably priced home w/acreage to enjoy.

It's a little hard to compare the two places. I haven't been to Pembroke in quite some time, but the last time I did, it was really a tiny place with nothing much around. It's mostly surrounded by small farms and tree farms. There are some swampy areas.
My feeling is that you would find a mix of different sorts of people in Richmond Hill, with better shopping, activities, etc. than you would in Pembroke.
Look at this link for information on schools. It doesn't seem to rank Pembroke schools very high.

thanks padgett2,
think I'll focus on richmond hill area. Since last posting, I've heard of some nice areas just outside of richmond hill city limits that I may want to check out.

Pembroke is a nice little town. It's also close to your work. If you can stomach a bit more of a commute, you could move to Southeast Bulloch. It's got a great school district and the taxes are more reasonable.

Bulloch is just a little north of Pembroke. It's a hop and a skip up Hwy 67.

Anyone have kids in the Richmond Hill School system? I have one middle school age and high school age and just want to hear what experiences have been with these schools.
