Default Savannah & Augusta water park

Since neither city has a water park. Im sure together both cities can support a water park. Together they form a million man metro area. And with the tourist who visit the cities each year. Afterwhile you wouldn't need as much local support. Isn't the savannah river pkwy between the two cities complete. Anybody driven on that hwy lately? A water park in Jenkins or Screven county. Would be alot better drive than white water in Marietta.

I posted this same topic in Augusta's forum. I wanted to see what you guys from Savannah had to say.

I think there is a water park in Statesboro. Augusta is an inconvenient 3 hrs. away. Charleston and Jacksonville are closer. Besides, I don't have kids and don't give a rats ... The beach is adequate for my needs.

there was a small one at Tybee. I don't know if it is still there. Seems like a way to waste precious water to me.

The beach and the rivers are fine with me!

Jekyll Island has Summer Waves Water Park and is a lot closer than Augusta.

The drive from Savannah to Augusta is miserable.

No, the water slide at Tybee has been gone for years and years. I think I went once when I was a young teenager. I miss the little amusement park that used to be there.

Immediately the ones at Jekyll Island and Statesboro came to mind. I've never been to either, but would head to either of them before driving all the way to Augusta.

LoL I said that the park could be located in Jenkins or Screven county not in Augusta. Those two counties are right next to Effingham. I was saying the park would do good between the two cities. Since there is alot of rual land left in Jenkins and Screven county.

How far is the drive from Savannah to Screven or Jenkins County?

The Savannah River pkwy hasn't made the drive to Augusta any easier or pleasant?

Sylvania is an hour from the Savannah Airport and and hour from the Augusta Airport

It follows neither the shortest nor the quickest route; zig-zags between and around the towns. Politically correct route!
A Rebublicratic Gerrymander
It works as an Augusta to Statesboro route, but by the time one gets through Statesboro, one could be in Savannah.
Go straight up along the river. the only "city" to go through is Milhaven and Girard.

Splash in the Boro is crowded. was there this summer. there were 3 buses from South Carolina. people were being turned away..............
