Pooler will probably be your safest bet if you want to be really close to work. As far as purchasing a house there goes, you'll get the most value for your buck, as there are several new housing developments coming up in the area. Rincon may also be a decent choice. Rent in Garden City is sigificantly lower but crime there may well be an issue.
